Summary

This guide will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to use the Test Programs in DoveTrack.



Procedure

The nine basic Test Programs are:

1. Access Test Programs
2. Send Go
3. Send Go with Light
4. Rotate and Wait
5. Lightree Qty Message
6. Sortbar Qty Msg
7. Wait for Task Complete
8. Wait for TC child
9. Wait for TC child disp



1. Test Programs Menu

From the Main Menu go to Setup click on Hardware Test Tools, click on the desired <T> program.

2. Send Go

The Send Go command requests that a carousel rotate to a specified bin. It may be used to test the interface to the carousel hardware. In the Send Go window, enter the carousel number and bin you want the carousel to spin to. Click the OK button. When finished, press Esc.

3. Send Go with Light

This <T> program will rotate both Vertical and Horizontal Carousels.
If Vertical Carousel has Counter Lights this program will light the corresponding light seen in the L/W = Light/Window.

4. Rotate and Wait

The Rotate and Wait command requests that a carousel rotate to a specified bin. This test tool will then wait for a status message from the carousel as to whether or not the carousel has moved to the specified bin. In the Rotate and Wait window, enter the carousel number and bin you want the carousel to spin to. Click the OK button. When finished, press Esc.

5. Lightree Qty Message

The Lightree Qty Msg command requests a light tree to indicate a specified carousel shelf and bin. Enter the desired carousel number, shelf, cell and quantity. Click the Light button. Press the TC button to test the task complete feature.

6. Sortbar Qty Msg

Enter the desired sortbar position number. Enter a quantity. Click the Send button. Press the Test button to test the task complete feature.

7. Wait for Task Complete

This Test simply waits for any Task Complete button to be pressed before continuing. When you select this you will see a Confirmation message asking to start execution. Click the Yes button or press Enter. See figure 7.

The Wait for Task Complete window appears with the timer running. Pressing a task complete button or pressing Shift F4 completes the test. See figure 7A.


A Warning! box will pop up, click OK.

In the Confirmation screen click Yes to execute again or No to end the Wait for Task Complete program.

8. Wait for TC child

If you have displays where the T.C. button press is transmitted even if displays are off, this is the <T> wait for TC child program that will be presented.
Click on GO. This program displays the buttons on the right side of the pick/stock/cycle count presentation screens. It has the Abort Button, Retry Rotate Button and Task Complete Button. This program tests that the buttons are displayed.
When the operator presses a Hardware task complete Dove Tree gets the message that you can press the button on the screen and the associated process is selected.

To exit this test program: Press Shift F4 then X out at the top right of the screen.

9. Wait for TC child disp

If you have displays where T.C. is transmitted only when a display is on, this is the <T> wait for TC child disp program that will be presented. See figure 9.

Click on the zoom: button, the menu will be presented to the right. Click on Abort or the display number. The Browse - SB table screen will be presented. See figure 9A. below.

To reset for another test press the zoom: button two times.

This screen shows:
1. Quantity on display was changed in the Qty Returned field.
2. When T.C. is pressed in the TC pressed? field False will change to True.

To exit this test program:
X out at the top right of the screen of the Browse - SB table, Press Shift F4 then X out at the top right of the screen of the Wait for TC Child disp screen.
You will receive a message About to Close Car, click OK.
